Riedel Winewings Champagne Wine Glass, Single Stem, Clear

In order to explain the concept of RIEDEL WINEWINGS, we opted for a flat and elongated bottom with a wing-like form to enhance the wine's exposure to air, thus boosting the evaporation levels and allowing for a more intense aroma. This design also positions the nose closer to the wider surface of the wine when tilting the head towards the glass. However, this alone is not sufficient to fully unleash the optimal aroma of each grape variety. Therefore, we curved the glass walls and precisely calibrated the opening of each glass based on its rim diameter to capture the delicate layered aromas.

The RIEDEL WINEWINGS collection consists of seven glasses in total - three for red wines, three for white wines, and one for Champagne and sparkling wines. The Champagne glass in this collection serves as a true amplifier for this prestigious wine, typically made from Pinot Noir and/or Chardonnay grapes. Champagne undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle by adding a precise amount of yeast and sugar to the still wine. This process generates fine bubbles over time under pressure, enhancing the delicate aromas of sweet toasted bread and creating a sensual mouthfeel with lively yet creamy bubbles on the palate.

The Champagne Wine Glass from RIEDEL WINEWINGS is specifically designed to elevate and showcase the complex characteristics of Champagne. With a wide range of aromatics, this glass allows the flavors to unfold, grow, and intensify. The larger rim diameter enables these aromas to be released in a way that is not achievable with a narrower glass.

Keeping in line with the aviation-inspired theme, Winewings wine glasses are flat-bottomed, wide, and resemble the wing of an aircraft complete with winglets. These glasses are machine-made and dishwasher safe, making them a practical choice for everyday use. The glass size measures 4.25Lx4.25Wx9.84H inches, providing ample space for the wine to aerate and enhance its aroma profile.
